How to check and Print KCSE 2016 results online

The KCSE results for candidates who sat for their final paper in 2016 is out. Education Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i has released the examination today in Mombasa, unlike the previous years when results came out  around March.

To check for the the results through mobile, SMS the candidate’s index to 22252. To access the results online and perhaps print a hard copy, visit the KNEC portal at


On the right panel, you will see a section with the words EXAMINATION results.  Click on that link and on the drop down menu select KCSE results. Enter your index and wait for the system to do the rest. You are done.
